This combination means you can explore advanced mathematics and still have the security of career options in accounting and financial management. It’s a dual honours course, which means you will spend roughly half your time in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, as the subjects are given equal weighting. There are optional modules in both subjects and you can go on a work placement for a year if you like. The Sheffield University Management School is triple-accredited (by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS) which puts it among the top one per cent of management schools in the world. It’s also one of the biggest departments in the university, with students from every part of the world, so you can expect a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere. Our graduates go on to work for the usual big names such as KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and in the public sector. Others are successful entrepreneurs and consultants.
