Digital Construction - University of Salford

Creating and delivering construction projects is a fascinating and complex business, demanding high levels of collaboration between people from a wide-range of different professional disciplines. In recent years, the construction process has been revolutionised by the exponential increases in technology and software. Construction companies and consultancies need professionals to help them make sense of the digital options, to embed these seamlessly into their working practices and to seek out new efficiency innovations. This course is intended to equip you as that digitally empowered professional. You'll learn about construction fundamentals - core building technologies; law, management and procurement; team-working – but alongside this framework, you'll develop familiarity and expertise with relevant digital technologies, including data management and Building Information Modelling (BIM). Emphasis is placed on developing your key attributes for the future employment, such as adaptability, flexible and critical thinking and an ability to implement and manage change.
