Covering all aspects of construction lifecycle, they help to ensure projects are safely completed on-time, within budget and at the right quality. There is currently a high-demand for project managers, both in the UK and internationally. So, if you're fascinated by buildings and developments and enjoy working with others, this double-accredited Construction Project Management degree could be just for you. Salford is a leading centre for construction, ranked in the World’s Top 100 centres for Built Environment study (QS, 2018). Located at the heart of the Manchester city-region, one of the UK’s largest property and construction markets, we’re surrounded by real-life construction case studies and industry connections, providing you with endless opportunities once you graduate. Our popular Construction Project Management degree is accredited by both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). You'll be educated to the highest industry standards, studying a range of tailored, industry-shaped modules that will develop your professional, technical and interpersonal skill set. Covering the same content as a standard undergraduate degree, the accelerated degree is taught over three trimesters rather than two semesters. This more intense mode of study means that you can complete your degree in a shorter period of time, so you progress more quickly into work or further study. If you choose to study Construction Project Management as a day-release accelerated degree, you will complete it in three years rather than five. Learning takes place in our Peel Park campus, just 2km from buzzing Manchester. Blending theory and practice using an action-based reflective learning approach, we’ll teach you to plan, organise and control construction operations. You’ll learn about regulations, procurement, and LEAN techniques. You’ll use management and planning software tools, such as BIM and CAD. Staying true to the collaborative nature of the construction industry, you’ll complete projects and problem-solving activities alongside other built environment students. **Features** - Learn about the economic conditions, legal regulations and technological advancements driving the sector - Understand the construction process – from feasibility studies and design to construction, maintenance, and demolition - Learn about interactions between a building and its internal and external environments - Build knowledge and understanding of management theories in construction and property development - Explore how real-time digital data guides physical construction, using industry software and technology - Fit your studies around your employment and complete them more quickly than a standard part-time degree
