International Foundation Programme (Jan Entry)

If you are planning on coming to the UK to study and don't have A level qualifications or the equivalent, the IFP offers you the opportunity to prepare for an undergraduate degree at a British university. Subject to successful completion, you will be guaranteed a place on your chosen degree course at Reading in September of the same year. By the end of the programme, you will have the confidence and knowledge you need to succeed on your degree. You can choose modules according to the subject you hope to study at undergraduate level: Business; Law; Humanities and Social Science; Real Estate and Construction Management; Science and Life Science; Meteorology and Mathematics; and Architecture. You will study academic skills and a selection of subjects relating to your chosen pathway. Depending on your English language skills, you may have to take the module on international English. The programme runs from either January to August or September to June. The January- to August option offers the same quality and benefits as the September to June programme but in a more focused format and with only two subject pathways: Business and Law. For module options for all the pathways and any conditions attached please see the ‘What will you study’ section on the relevant course page on our website
