Apply your knowledge of physics and maths to the natural world and explore the science of the most pressing environmental problems. You will develop an understanding of key environmental issues through detailed knowledge of the underlying fundamental physics. The first year of the course will provide you with a thorough grounding in key mathematical techniques and scientific principles, such as nuclear physics and environmental chemistry. During your second and final years you will be able to select optional modules, tailoring the course to suit your specific interests. These will enable you to specialise in areas such as earth sciences, oceanography, hydrology, space weather or atmospheric physics.
