Take the first step in becoming a BPS Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist and HCPC Registered Psychologist. WHY STUDY THIS COURSE? This course is taught by accredited BPS (British Psychological Society) and HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered psychologists. Lecturers draw from their varied experiences as practitioners and researchers to outline how psychological principles and theories can be employed to benefit those in high performance environments (e.g. elite sport) and the health and fitness sectors. MORE ABOUT THIS COURSE Take an optional sandwich year to gain appropriate work-based learning or receive support from the Department's specialised Employability group by taking our professional placement unit. Use our specialist psychology labs to gain valuable practical skills and experience in visual and auditory reactions. Learn in several different environments including biomechanics, physiology and kinanthropometry labs. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE GAINED You will have the option to apply for a sandwich placement year or single unit. This course will develop your graduate skills and attributes to enhance your career options.
