A new and innovative nursing programme that offers the opportunity to study using state of the art simulation facilities. WHY STUDY THIS COURSE? Designed in partnership with local NHS Trusts, this course focuses on developing competent, skilled Adult Nurses. Work-based learning is a key component and you will develop practical skills in safe, simulated teaching environments, before being supervised in using these skills in practice in one of our placement providers. This course will prepare you to be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). MORE ABOUT THIS COURSE There will be an emphasis on teaching and learning that promotes evidence informed patient care. It also focuses on the advanced skills necessary for care of patients with acute and/or long term conditions, in a variety of settings. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE GAINED The course uses the latest simulation facilities to develop and refine clinical skills and competence, which are then transferable into practice . Throughout the course there is a focus on the development of skills in evidence-based decision making, critical thinking and leadership skills to support and deliver best practice.Through practice there is an opportunity to observe, examine, assess and engage with patients and service users in a variety of settings. AFTER THE COURSE On successful completion of this 3 year programme you will be eligible to seek admission to part 1 (Adult) of the professional (Nursing and Midwifery Council - NMC) register. This qualification also meets the EU requirements for employment as a Registered Nurse abroad.
