You will study journalism with experienced practitioners and academics, with access to our fully-equipped newsroom, alongside theoretical and analytic work in media studies. You will be able to sit components of the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism while you study. MORE ABOUT THIS COURSE You will have access to industry-standard systems and equipment for print, broadcast and new-media journalism in our newsroom, and to our network of employers within the industry. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? This course is for students who want to become knowledgeable and capable media practitioners in the 21st century. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE GAINED The course includes a formal 10-day journalism placement, and encourages further formal and informal placements throughout the course or as a sandwich year. Your units will teach vocational and transferable skills in analysis and communication. AFTER THE COURSE You can expect to graduate with the skills and experience needed to work as a journalist on websites, magazines and newspapers. You will also be prepared for a wide range of graduate careers or postgraduate study.
