You will study journalism with experienced practitioners and academics, with access to the fully equipped newsroom, alongside research-driven teaching in literature. You will be able to sit components of the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism while you study. MORE ABOUT THIS COURSE You will have access to industry-standard systems and equipment for print, broadcast and new-media journalism in our newsroom, and to our network of employers within the industry. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? This course is for students who want to combine writing about the real world with a love of great literature. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE GAINED The course includes a formal 10-day journalism placement, and encourages further formal and informal placements throughout the course or as a sandwich year. Your units will teach vocational skills and transferable skills in analysis and communication. AFTER THE COURSE You can expect to graduate with the skills and experience needed to work as a journalist on websites, magazines and newspapers. You will also be prepared for a wide range of graduate careers or postgraduate study.
