Team-based clinical training in a primary care environment leading to professional registration (practice rights) with the General Dental Council. You will be supported by a diverse range of professional and academic staff with a wealth of experience and skills to meet your educational needs. The course is accredited by the General Dental Council (GDC). MORE ABOUT THIS COURSE Sitting within the Science Faculty, UPDA is a bright and modern purpose built facility which has embraced technology and embedded it in both clinical and academic teaching practices. Digitised dental imaging and electronic patient management systems. Students are enabled to work within the wider dental team sharing care for patients and are enabled to participate in multidisciplinary projects with allied health care professions. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? This course is for those with a passion for a career in the dental team, insight into the scope and role of a dental nursing who also agree with our values of the NHS Constitution. You must be interested in and adept at science and wanting to work with the public, applying knowledge to technical and practical work. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE GAINED Gain clinical operative skills in the field of Dental hygiene and Dental Therapy as well as the professional knowledge, teamwork skills and behaviours required. AFTER THE COURSE On completing the course, graduates can register as a member of General Dental Council (GDC) and gain employment within all sectors of dentistry or continue with further education.
