You will achieve degree-level skills in two languages, experience a year abroad in two countries, and develop professional and postgraduate-level specialisms in language application, all within a four-year integrated Master's programme. MORE ABOUT THIS COURSE Your course will provide you with access to our learning resource centre, state-of-the-art interpreting suite and our multi-media language laboratories. You can study a third language as part of your course, or take on a work-based unit to develop your employability. The University's partnerships with local and international businesses, charities and other organisations offers you a wide range of choices for placements and work during your year abroad. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? This course is for students who want to gain a distinctive edge in the labour market with an applied multilingual postgraduate qualification. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE GAINED Employability and career management skills are delivered throughout the curriculum. Work or research placements may be built into your course, and in your year abroad you will develop your knowledge and understanding in languages as you enhance your intercultural awareness and other transferable skills. AFTER THE COURSE You will be prepared to enter fields where specialist language skills such translation, interpreting, TESOL and/or intercultural communication are a requirement. You will also be well placed to consider PhD research.
