Religion, Culture and Ethics

You will gain a broad grounding in ethical and philosophical theory, studying key works from Plato to Nietzsche, and literature from Greek Tragedy to contemporary fiction. Your studies in religion will focus mainly upon the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, which have played the greatest role in shaping Western culture. You will enjoy teaching from world-class academics, who will engage you in lectures and seminars, encouraging lively debate and discussion. Furthermore, we will support you in your independent study with outstanding facilities, including our dedicated Manuscript and Special Collections archive which holds extensive and rare materials for your exploration.
