Plant Science

We emphasise the importance of putting theory into practice, therefore you will spend time carrying out practical research in our purpose-built Plant Sciences building where you will have access to facilities such as the Arabidopsis Stock Centre, housing over half a million genetic plant stocks. Furthermore, you will spend time gaining hands-on experience at our campus-based University Farm, a fully operational establishment with 450 hectares of arable, dairy, sheep, woodland, and environmental stewardship enterprises. In addition to this, you will develop commercial awareness; studying the application of plant sciences in the agricultural, horticultural, biotechnology, and food industries.
