Uniquely, you will spend your second year studying in Sydney and apply your learning directly to the Australian environment. In addition, you will spend two weeks at Nottingham’s Malaysia campus, where you will study global food security. This international exposure will allow you to develop new perspectives on agricultural science to bring back to Nottingham, where you can apply and test them. We continue this hands-on approach by organising field trips and visits to commercial farms and businesses and research organisations with which our School of Biosciences have strong links. You can also take advantage of an optional paid industry placement between years two and three, taking a year to enhance your skills in a working environment, here or overseas.
