History and East European Cultural Studies

This course offers modules including Russian, European, and world histories, ensuring you have a solid understanding of key historical theories and debates. The East European cultural studies element of the course will cover the societies, histories, politics and cultures of Eastern Europe, particularly Russia and the region that was formerly Yugoslavia. Combining the two elements of this course enables you to have both a broad global historical understanding as well as specialism in an area of world which is becoming increasingly important in diplomacy, politics, and business. We also offer you the option to study a Slavonic language from beginners’ level (Russian, Serbian/Croatian or Slovene).
