Hispanic Studies and History - University of Nottingham

The history element of this degree will give you a wide array of optional modules to choose from, allowing you to specialise in your particular areas of interest, as well as studying the fundamentals of historical thought and debate. You will also enjoy freedom of choice regarding modules in the Hispanic studies element, with modules covering culture, history, and politics. Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the world, and Portuguese the seventh, so you will be developing language skills that can take you around the globe. You will further consolidate your languages and cultural awareness in your third year, which is spent studying or working in a Spanish or Portuguese country, deepening your understanding of the context in which your languages operate.
