French and Contemporary Chinese Studies

Alongside a range of modules dealing with history, politics and culture, you will also study French language at post-A level along with Mandarin, which may be taken at beginners’ level. The programme offers flexibility in module choices, allowing you to tailor your studies to suit your personal interests. The modules will be taught by world-class academics, who are experts in their fields, covering the culture, history and politics of the two areas of study. A key feature of the course is the third year spent abroad. You will spend a semester studying at Nottingham’s Ningbo Campus in China, where you will have access to the same high-quality teaching that you receive in Nottingham and you will be immersed in Chinese culture.
