Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine

You will work in specialist laboratories which are fully equipped for hands-on experience in areas ranging from proteins and enzymes, to gene cloning technology. We have strong links with clinical schools in the University, so you will have the opportunity to widen your breadth of knowledge via contact with biochemists, physiologists, pharmacologists, and cell biologists. This clinical link is a valuable element, as this course focuses particularly on the clinical and medical aspects of biochemistry over your second and third years. This expertise is in high demand, as you will be developing the skills desperately needed in the fight against various diseases and illnesses, and contributing to the development of life-saving medicines.
