You will benefit from experiencing the different approaches that these two disciplines take, combining academic study with a strong practical element in archaeology. The course is delivered by enthusiastic staff via a flexible range of optional modules, allowing you to tailor your studies to suit your interests. You will study the Greek and Roman world (c.1200 BCE – 500 CE), including their visual culture and, if you choose, their languages; besides this, you will explore the archaeology of a range of cultures and have the chance to join our staff on excavations, in locations such as Bulgaria, Italy and South Africa. Nottingham also boasts an on-campus museum and the Digital Humanities Centre, which both offer opportunities for work experience.
