his course aims to equip graduates with a specialist skill set relevant to the Leather garments area of the fashion industries. Our students have access to a wide range of unique facilities in order to develop their specialist knowledge. The university has the only working tannery within a university in Europe, where students can learn more about the properties of leather and applying them to garment design and manufacture. Students also benefit from the School’s strong links with the industry, which supports live design projects. The course offers a stimulating working environment where students are encouraged to develop their own individual aesthetic signature, explore materials and develop exciting conceptual pieces in leather and suede. Emphasis is placed on technical finesse, balanced by creative exploration and material investigation.
