Computer systems are now utilised in a variety of ways from local, small scale systems that may be developed by a single person to make their devices communicate with each other, through to larger multi-national bodies with offices around the world. Computing is at the heart of the daily lives of people and businesses throughout the world and consequently the industry is continually developing and progressing. In this industry focussed course you will be exposed to the wide reaching influences that computers and their technologies have on society, as well as the possible contributions that you can make to future advances in the industry. This two year programme introduces you to a wide range of fundamental principles pertinent to the use of computer systems within the wider context of the industry as a whole and thus be able to appreciate the demands that computer technology must meet.
