Our degree develops three fundamental science strands which are then woven together by integrative modules to give perspective and allow you to apply scientific concepts to real environmental problems. This is a multi-disciplinary, research informed degree which includes modules taught by active researchers across a range of areas including biology, geography, planning, and Earth Sciences. You will undertake an industrial placement with a company of your choice between years 2 and 3. We will help you identify a suitable host organisation and throughout your placement you will be supported by a member of the academic staff here at the University. Past students have benefited from the experience of a spending a year in industry during their studies by gaining business skills through learning directly which aspects of their career are the most rewarding to them.
