Our joint honours programmes with Music provide an excellent opportunity to combine your interests in music with another subject. You’ll be able to develop your understanding of music’s role in history and culture, as well as expressing your creativity through composition or showcasing your performance abilities. You’ll combine core and optional modules to develop a good understanding of musical principles and develop specialist knowledge and skills in the aspects of music that suit you. At Leeds, you can become fluent in Spanish while gaining an insight into the history, culture and politics of Spain and Latin America. Core modules will develop your language skills and introduce you to the history and culture of Spain and Hispanic America, and you’ll choose optional modules on topics that interest you. You’ll also benefit from the Spanish government’s cultural arm, the Instituto Cervantes, and the Catalan government’s Ramon Llull Institute, which are based on campus.
