Japan is one of the world’s largest economies and a major player on the international stage. This exciting degree will give you the chance to gain an understanding of issues in international business management while learning Japanese from scratch. Core modules will develop your skills in Japanese from beginners’ level – the course is for non-native speakers of Japanese only, though if you have some prior knowledge of the language we can usually accommodate your needs. You’ll also study a broad base of modules in international business management, exploring the challenge of running successful and profitable foreign operations. In addition, you’ll choose from a wide range of optional modules to explore Japanese politics, business, history, literature, cinema and social issues, as well as topics from across East Asia. You’ll even spend a year at a Japanese university to gain first-hand experience of life in this fascinating country and gain skills that are attractive to employers.
