Economics at Leeds combines core and optional modules allowing you to gain a broad understanding of economic issues in business, society and public life alongside specialist knowledge in areas that interest you. You’ll learn about economic theory and history in core modules, as well as developing your mathematical and research skills and studying microeconomics and macroeconomics. You could also choose to study anything from the economics of work or health to international finance. Russian Civilisation allows you to study Russian literature, media, history, politics, religion, economics and society to gain a wide range of skills. You don’t need any language skills, but you’ll have the chance to learn Russian at beginners’ level in your first year. A combination of core and optional modules will give you a firm grounding in different aspects of Russian culture alongside specialist knowledge in the areas that interest you the most.
