This exciting degree allows you to build advanced skills in two major world languages, as well as exploring Francophone, Middle Eastern and Islamic culture worldwide. Core language modules will allow you to develop your reading, listening, writing and speaking skills in each language, while we offer a wide range of optional modules allowing you to explore the culture, politics and history of the Francophone and Arabic-speaking worlds. Our School of Languages, Cultures and Societies is large and diverse enough to offer truly flexible degrees where you can pursue your interests. You could study topics as diverse as Arabic literature, antiracism movements in France, the complex politics of the Middle East and North Africa or gender in medieval French romance.
