It has been designed to equip you with the key visual, critical and professional skills necessary for a career in the art world and for a range of other employment opportunities. In your first year, you are given a firm foundation in some of the aesthetic, interpretative and methodological approaches to the discipline of art history. Throughout your second and third years, there are opportunities for you to develop and expand your engagement with the discipline through a range of specialist modules. The Classical & Archaeological Studies element of your degree offers a hugely interesting and varied range of subjects including: literature, mythology, drama, archaeology, architecture, art, languages and philosophy, and looks at the way they all connect in the study of ancient civilisations.
