Enjoy access to the superb facilities of our new Robotics Lab and FabLab on this practical, hands-on course.** Drones are being used to deliver life-saving medicines to remote areas of the world. Unmanned robots are increasingly sent into hazardous or inaccessible areas. And, while the demand for expertise in this exciting field is booming, the UK lacks qualified personnel. - New Robotics Lab featuring humanoid Baxter and Nao robots, and our MARC (Multi-Actuated Robotic Companion) robots - Digitally fabricate models and prototypes in our FabLab with a huge variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) 3D printers, laser scanners and cutters - Benefit from the Hull Immersive Visualization Environment (HIVE) which offers advanced visualization, motion capture and computer graphics technology - Our teaching is informed by our research in simulation, visualization, dependable systems, robotics, 3D printing, and mobile and distributed computing Mechatronics and Robotics is a high-tech, interdisciplinary programme that combines electronics, mechanical engineering and computer science - and applies them to the design and manufacture of intelligent systems.
