Law and Legislative Studies (incl year in Westminster)

You’ll learn to ‘think like a lawyer’, undertake legal research and apply your knowledge of legal and political science to broad social problems and challenges. The first two years of the programme are based in Hull, where you’ll study the concept of law, legal phenomena, and legal systems, combined with the study of political history, UK parliamentary institutions, comparative institutions, political theory, electoral systems, and comparative politics. In year 3, you’ll get unparalleled access to the Houses of Parliament, and gain first-hand experience of law making, working for an MP, Peer or a Parliamentary official. See our website for more information.
