Italian Studies with Foundation Year

The British Chamber of Commerce reports that only 1% of businesses possess the necessary level of competence in Italian to be able to conduct business deals leading to exports. A degree in Italian Studies could open up a wide variety of careers. Hull offers excellent facilities in the Language Learning Centre. Our team of Language Learning Advisors offer extra one-to-one support to help you with your studies, as well as a partnership scheme which allows you to practise Italian with native speakers. While studying for your degree, you have the opportunity to gain a recognised teaching qualification in Trinity CertTESOL (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Your third year is spent living abroad, either studying or working in an Italian-speaking country. If you don’t have the qualifications to enter the programme directly, we offer a foundation year to prepare you for degree-level study.
