Staff in History and English are active researchers and their expertise underpins the wide range of modules available. In History, modules range from the Iron Age to the present day, covering key moments in the histories of Britain, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. In English, you can study the full literary spectrum of prose, poetry, drama and creative writing from the medieval era to the age of Shakespeare to the twentieth century and beyond. The foundation year is ideal if you do not have the academic qualifications for direct entry on to the programme. You'll study a range of modules designed to prepare you for degree-level study.
