History and Archaeology

Draw upon the contrasting approaches, insights and methods of archaeologists and historians to open a window on the human past. Studying at Hull enables you to view the past on a global scale whilst also investigating the intricacies and detail of more regional perspectives. Practical skills form a key part of the programme, and we provide all students with in-house fieldwork training on our research excavations. Your digital skills will also be developed to enable you to assemble, handle, interrogate and interpret data using the latest technology. See our website for more information.
