Geology with Physical Geography

During the programme you will gain an in-depth understanding of the geological, physical and biological processes that operate on and underneath the Earth’s surface and control the state of the natural environment. Accredited by the Geological Society, this interdisciplinary degree provides the broad training needed to work in roles within the mining, petroleum, civil engineering and environmental sectors. You will benefit from free core field trips, which make full use of our unique position on the Yorkshire coast. Optional final-year field trips visit locations such as Iceland, Malawi and Morocco. We offer the option of a foundation year, ideal for students who do not have the academic background for direct entry at degree level. You can also choose to spend a year studying abroad at one of our partner universities. See our website for more information.
