Chemistry

Chemistry here is taught by some of the leaders in the field, including members of the pioneering liquid crystal display (LCD) research team, now spearheading the next generation of display technology – Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs). The programme covers an exciting and diverse array of subjects, including analytical, forensic, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. You gain a broad, balanced knowledge of the wide array of subjects that make up modern chemistry, and the opportunity to extend that knowledge into specialised and cutting edge areas of the discipline. We also offer a foundation year, ideal for students whose qualifications don’t allow direct access to a degree course, while the MChem programme gives a deeper understanding of modern chemistry. The option of spending a year in industry imparts skills, experience and knowledge to give you a valuable head start in your career. See our website for more information.
