Applied Sport Science for Performance

Delivered as an ‘all-inclusive’ programme, it provides a solid grounding in theory and academia before training you in the practical elements of working as a sports scientist - with the goal of enabling you to help athletes attain the highest level of physical performance in professional sport. Ultimately, the programme fosters your confidence to translate evidence into practice, and motivate athletes in various disciplines. We have close relationships with a number of sports teams including Hull KR, Hull City Tigers AFC, Bradford Bulls and other leading clubs - many of which are attracted to partnerships thanks to our leading-edge research activity and world-class labs. We offer the option of a foundation year, ideal if your qualifications do not allow for direct entry on to the three-year BSc course. You can also choose to spend an extra year studying for a Masters-level qualification, specialising in your preferred area of study in the final year. See our website for more information.
