The environment is on the agenda of every business – organisations are recognising that they have to operate in a sustainable way. If you are passionate about the environment and want to help businesses incorporate sustainability into their strategy then this course is for you. This course is designed to equip you with a broad overview of how the commercial world operates. We strike a balance between understanding business growth and environmental responsibility. You’ll have the chance to learn how businesses can operate in a sustainable way and how concerns about the environment are influencing business and employment. We aim to provide you with a detailed understanding of how businesses develop successful strategies through relevant analytical and evaluation techniques. You’ll receive a solid introduction to international business, entrepreneurship, strategic management and environmental management to help give you a firm foundation that can be applied in any sector or industry. We start with a solid grounding in business know-how, covering everything from marketing and finance through to operations and information systems. And we’ll look at how small businesses function as well as mega-corporations. Factors like transformational technology and globalisation mean businesses have to constantly change and adapt. Businesses are keen to find people who can help them develop new products and services that will contribute to their future success and prosperity. During your studies we’ll give you the opportunity to take a placement with a business, either in the UK or abroad. Our dedicated placement team could help you find a role to gain invaluable real-life experience. Previous students have gone on to work in companies like First Carbon Solutions, EON, Brenntag UK, Thornton and Ross, Cummins and J N Bentley.
