Our History department has an International reputation for the quality of its research. Undergraduates are taught by leading researchers who bring their evidence and investigations into the classroom. And the programme also allows for a wide choice of modules focusing on political, social and cultural history between 1500 and 2000 English Language Teaching on the other hand, explores questions such as how learners learn English and how they progress in learning, as well as the theories underlying professional ELT practice. Our unique Humanities Programme at the University of Hertfordshire enables you to study a combination of major and minor subjects to create a really bespoke degree that suits both your strengths and interests. It’s up to you whether you continue with your unique combination from your second year of study or simply specialise in perhaps just one or two subject areas.
