Students rate the teaching they receive very highly. In the National Student Survey 2015, 90% of students agreed that staff are good at explaining things, 95% found the staff enthusiastic about their subject, and 90% found the course intellectually stimulating. Journalism makes you think about the way you communicate, how to get your message across clearly and concisely and the different ways others try to get their message across to you. Our unique Humanities Programme at the University of Hertfordshire enables you to study a combination of major and minor subjects to create a really bespoke degree that suits both your strengths and interests. The “and/with” in your title means that you’ll be able to either study one subject AND another subject equally (50/50 split) or one subject WITH another (75/25 split). In fact, you can go one step further and customise your degree even more by supplementing your first year with additional minor subjects. Then it’s up to you whether you continue with your unique combination from your second year of study or simply specialise in perhaps just one or two subject areas.
