Public Health

This degree will help you gain the vital knowledge and experience required to submit your portfolio to become a registered public health practitioner via the UK Public Health Register. The curriculum is multidisciplinary, reflecting central government policies in public health. With the guidance of our research-active tutors, you will explore strategies that will improve the UK’s health. These include social change, targeting inequalities and designing and implementing public policies. You will also investigate the impact of new services, better housing and local regeneration schemes. Our degree provides access to world-class research and well-equipped facilities to support all your activities. In your final year, your placement will give you the opportunity to spend time working with potential employers. We are continually developing links with health and social care providers to help our graduates into work. We also have close links with professional bodies that represent the national public health workforce.
