Property Development and Management

Property is one of the big investment topics of the 21st century. This degree is your opportunity to become a part of this exciting, and often profitable world that affects us all. *What will I learn?* You will learn to be conversant with investment, design, development and management of property assets, to develop practical and theoretical skills related to the property profession. You will develop transferable skills to allow the graduate a wide range of career opportunities within the business environment. Many of the courses are based on practical projects, reflecting business practice. We use buildings in the local area and also in central London. *Why Greenwich?* In addition to the highly skilled lecturing staff that teach on this programme, students also benefit from guest lecturers from industry and meetings with students from our overseas partners. The department is based in Maritime Greenwich, a world heritage site.The location of the campus is perfect for visits to London based galleries, museums and important buildings – many part of the University itself. Not only is Greenwich a serene and magnificent place to study, it's also close to Canary Wharf and the city – making this an ideal location for work experience. *What opportunities are there to study abroad?* The Erasmus Programme is a European Union (EU) student exchange programme available for students and provides a grant towards the cost of studying aboard. We have a dedicated placement team who will support students in finding work placements and internships as well as giving students practical advice on writing CVs and preparing for interviews and assessment centres. *Facilities* The university has invested £76 million in a new building to house the campus library, TV studios and academic facilities for disciplines including architecture, design and construction. Stockwell Street is just a short walk from the university's buildings on the Old Royal Naval College site. *Outcomes* The aims of the programme are: To produce professionals who are conversant with the investment, design, development and management of property assets To develop practical and theoretical skills related to the property profession To develop transferable skills to allow the graduate a wide range of career opportunities within the business environment.
