Nursing (Mental Health Nursing)

This degree will give you the knowledge and skills for a career in mental health nursing. Your studies will be evenly split between theoretical and practical learning. Half of each academic year will be spent on placement. Thanks to our strong links with the NHS and other care providers, we are able to offer placements across a wide range of institutional and community settings. Your progress will be assessed by qualified and experienced practitioners. Your skills will be further developed and assessed on campus, where you will use facilities such as our well-equipped clinical skills laboratories. The knowledge, skills and values you acquire during your studies will help you to empower your patients and their families to make informed health decisions. As a graduate from this programme, you will be able to apply to the Nursing and Midwifery Council to register as a mental health nurse.
