Our four-year extended degree is almost identical to the related three-year programme but includes a foundation year and has a lower entry requirement. The foundation year is designed to give you the academic knowledge and skills required to succeed at degree level. It includes a thorough introduction to health and wellbeing and explores ethics, enterprise and leadership. It will also give you the ability to manage your studies independently and will develop your essential academic writing, computing and communication skills. Your foundation year will be the ideal launch pad for the remaining three years of your degree, when you will critically analyse the ways in which biological, psychological, social, economic and cultural influences affect individual and community health and wellbeing. See BSc Hons Health and Wellbeing for more information about the three-year programme.
