Health and Social care (Top-Up)

This programme is designed for professionals from social care, housing, health or nursing backgrounds who have a qualification at diploma level but want to work in the community and need a degree for career progression. If you wish to qualify as a professional social worker, you should apply for our BA Hons Social Work programme (see right). You will begin the top-up programme at Level 6, equivalent to the third year of an honours degree. Your studies will develop your knowledge and understanding of complex health and social care issues, which will enable you to give the best support to service users. We are supporters of collaborative practice and have strong partnerships with service users and carers. Our degree will give you both theoretical and practical experience and knowledge of multi-professional and multi-agency teamwork. Our well-equipped facilities will support your studies, and we employ creative teaching methods and assessment techniques to stimulate your learning. All of our lecturers are experts in the field of health and social care.
