Business psychology is the study of how an understanding of the psychology of human behaviour can be applied within business organisations to manage people more effectively. This programme will provide you with an understanding of business and management, and insight into the psychology of individual and group behaviour at work. It will prepare you to lead and manage by equipping you with the key theories and practical approaches to manage people effectively. Informed by both academic knowledge and professional practice, you will develop the ability to find practical solutions to people-related problems within organisations, examine the moral issues of work and explore developing areas in management and psychology. You will also gain highly valued communication and thinking skills demanded by employers. What careers could I pursue? In addition to roles in business, graduates from this degree may pursue qualification as a chartered psychologist by going on to study our MSc Psychology degree, which leads to Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS). This is required to gain entrance to BPS-accredited postgraduate programmes and training programmes that lead to chartered status, opening up career opportunities in occupational psychology.
