BSc (Hons) Human Nutrition (Extended)

This programme focuses on the effect of food on physiology and metabolism. We are committed to promoting improved diet and health for all members of society. Students on this programme will learn to do this too by understanding and evaluating the socio-economic and behavioural determinants of nutrition-related issues such as obesity. You will study the science of nutrition along with other students in diverse fields such as biomedical, biological and sports science. This programme will give you a multidisciplinary and scientific understanding of human nutrition and its relationship to health and disease. It will provide you with the necessary academic qualifications for further study in fields such as dietetics. It will also build your understanding and skills so you can improve the health and welfare of individuals, groups and populations in a safe and ethical manner. Our teaching staff are highly qualified having received degrees or conducted research here at the University of Greenwich, and in other leading institutions. Our courses support online learning as well as study blended with a year of work experience. This programme offers great links with employers, so you gain the skills and knowledge required by industry while increasing your employability prospects.
