English Literature/History of Art

ENGLISH LITERATURE: -You will explore all aspects of literature in English, benefiting from our expertise in a wide range of areas, including American, Irish and postcolonial literatures, critical theory, creative writing, and the relationship between literature and other arts, media and science. In choosing English Literature at Glasgow, you will be studying at one of the oldest, largest and most dynamic centres for the study of literature in the world. HISTORY OF ART: - History of art seeks to understand how and why paintings, sculptures, buildings and works in a variety of media come to look the way they do.You will benefit from the extensive collections of the University’s library and the resources of the Hunterian, the University’s museum and art gallery, which feature the world-famous Hunter, Whistler and Mackintosh collections.
