This four-year course includes a foundation year (Year Zero), followed by a further three years of undergraduate study. You specialise in the field of modern history and choose from a unique and international range of topics, periods and countries. You take a compulsory full-year module in your second year, The Making of the Modern World, 1776-1989, and a compulsory half-year module in your third year, Making Histories: Concepts, Themes and Sources. In your final year you take a special subject and write a dissertation on a modern history subject of your own choosing.
