Our BA Literature and Art History (including foundation year) is suitable for you if your academic qualifications do not yet meet our entrance requirements for an undergraduate course. This four-year course includes a foundation year (Year Zero), followed by a further three years of undergraduate study. Our compulsory English language and academic skills module supplements your academic subjects. Our world is dominated and driven by visual media. Understanding art and visual culture has never been more relevant and rewarding – studying images and objects is an exciting degree option. Our distinctive curriculum allows you to study the relationship between text and image and the relationships that exist between the two. Understanding visual history enables you to complement and enhance your exploration of different textual sources, from the earliest modern works to the literature and theory of the present day, in a variety of contexts.
