Financial crisis. Unemployment. Immigration. Market competition. Economics helps us shape the present and improve our future. You spend equal time studying history-related and economics-related modules and, like other courses from our Department, in your first year we allow you the flexibility to choose optional modules from across our University. You experience all aspects of economics and explore quantitative research methods. You will also choose from a range of history modules. During your second year, you build on these skills, taking modules in Microeconomics and Making Histories: Concepts, Themes and Sources which will inform you of the different approaches in history. In your final year you will specialise in areas that you find most interesting.
