Tourism Management

Our course places a strong emphasis on developing the skills and qualities you’ll need to succeed in this diverse, global industry. And it’s an industry full of opportunity, employing three million people and contributing £127 billion each year to the UK economy alone. Such a massive sector needs smart, well qualified people to contribute to an industry that’s been transformed by e-commerce, online review sites and a growth in ‘sustainable’ tourism. A degree from the University of East London will launch your own career journey in style. We’ll give you a solid understanding of the basic business principles underlying tourism wherever you are in the world. You’ll learn about managing destinations, resources and people, marketing and finance, and sub-sectors such as accommodation, visitor attractions and transport. You’ll also have the chance to take a placement year, where you’ll put your growing knowledge to the test with a job in tourism that will give you valuable experience and a stand-out CV.
